Again, I'm thinking the HV diode might have been damaged when I attempted to discharge the monitor like a raster monitor (because I'm ultra ignorant) even though I have no blooming problems or focus issues. There were issues with every aspect of it and I've resolved it all but this last one. I'm working on it for an old lady who's husband passed away and this was something he acquired and never got working properly. There were many problems with this cabinet. However, I first noticed this issue right after I did a cap kit. Also maybe one of the caps I replaced could be defective but I don't really suspect that. Easy wipe clean board book pages with rounded corners are perfect for. I'm thinking my problem is either the HV diode or maybe some resistor in the brightness circuit of the deflection board. Every linocut artwork and high contrast design is intentional for a babys. I replaced all transistors in the 500 section of the deflection board I rebuilt the power board and replaced the big blue cap. I re-pinned the edge connector and most molex/amp connectors in the cabinet The brightness and contrast pots have a clean sweep on them when hooked up to a multimeter. I have ruled out the game board by replacing with another known working board Cap kit did not fix the problem (I even replaced most of the non-electrolytic caps on both boards) My image does not bloom when brightness changes I can't set my brightness after it's warmed up and call it a day because when I turn the machine on again I'm going to have a dangerous amount of brightness for 15 minutes or so. I haven't kept it on for more than an hour or so but it seems to stable out) ![]() After about 15 minutes or so the brightness stables out and no longer continues to dim (It might continue to dim ultra slowly. ![]() My only problem now is that the brightness of the monitor upon cold startup gets brighter and brighter for the first 5-8 minutes (to the point sometimes where even if the brightness is set at 0 you may still see an image on the screen) and as it warms up the brightness lowers slowly. I have a G05-802 in an Asteroids Deluxe cabinet that I've been dealing with.
